Membership

CALA has been an active chapter of ALA’s Region 5 since 1977 and currently has over 100 members. Our primary mandate is to provide educational and networking opportunities to our members via regular monthly meetings, sub-section meetings, educational workshops, teleseminars, and social events.

We have four subsection coordinators who organize regular meetings in the areas of Human Resources, Facilities, Financial, and Information Technology Management. We publish a newsletter on a quarterly basis and perform an annual salary and benefits survey in June.

We are fortunate to have a strong sponsorship program that provides funds to enable us to offer high quality educational programs to our members. We are very appreciative of the support provided by our vendor sponsors and recognize their importance to the success of our chapter.

Managers or administrators of legal services organizations whose responsibilities include human resource, finance, facilities or information technology management are eligible to join CALA. All members of CALA must also be members of ALA.
