I am honored to be serving as CALA President for the 2010/2011 year. It is exciting to be a member of such a dynamic group of professionals committed to law firm and legal leadership. I have been a CALA and ALA member since 2005 and have found the associations to be integral in my career development. The relationships I have formed with my fellow CALA members have enriched me in more ways than I can mention.

This year we have a terrific executive board that all share my enthusiasm in CALA. Together, we are committed to enhancing the knowledge of our members through education, communication and networking. We look forward to providing our members with top notch educational and social events and sincerely thank our sponsors for enabling us to do so. The executive board is always looking input from our members. If you have any recommendations for our chapter or would like to volunteer and get involved in any capacity, please let me know.

As you know we are a chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). ALA is a plentiful resource that you have access to. Make sure to check out the ALA website (www.alanet.org) as it is a wealth of information when it comes to legal management. CALA is a chapter within ALA Region 5. I have had the privilege of meeting the Region 5 management team at various conferences and their commitment to our region and to helping us is second to none. I hope you have an opportunity to attend the Region 5/6 conference in San Diego this fall and get to know this great team of individuals. ALA national is here for you as is CALA.
